Hi, I’m new here. Before we dive into this whole bloggery thing you must know two things about me. Oh and You must know that this isn’t one of those la-tee-da “fancy schmancy” type of blogs either. I have dry shampoo in my hair from Friday and it’s now Tuesday, it’s 11:00pm and my kids just went down for bed. Oh! And I had a Kit Kat for dinner. This is one of “those” blogs. Buckle up y’all.

So those two things I mentioned. Numero uno, I live and breathe sarcasm. Life is fun that way and half the time people think I’m kidding when I’m not! Haaaa!
Secondly, I’m completely and utterly saved by HIS Grace, our Heavenly Father. I’m saved by grace, as are you, so this means what? It means I believe in second chances. We will get into that later.
So you’re probably deciding right now whether or not to keep reading or if this blog is even for you. Am I right? Of course I am. So keep reading because I’m about to be so vulnerable in the next few posts that you will blush, cry, throw things and you may even talk out loud and look like a crazy person. I have that effect on people. (Ask my husband!)
So I’m Emily Roberts. Currently 26 years have been lived here on earth. 6.5 of these years belong to my husband Scott, I call him Scotty, don’t worry you can call him that too, it’s not like a bedroom name or anything. 2.5 years of this life have belonged to my first Tonka truck of a baby, my 9.2lb son we will call S aka T-Rex and recently the last 7 months have been stolen by my precious, 8.1lb  we will call him G aka Tank.
I’m a mom.
I’m flawed.
Like really really flawed.
But I think that’s why people like me, cause I’m vulnerable and I say what you want to say.
I also think that’s why I finally like me.
I wasn’t always sarcastic and vulnerable.
Nope, I had to learn to laugh.
Weird concept to think about, right?
No I don’t mean the actual practice of giggling, I mean stretch marks suck and you get pooped on a lot as a mom, at least I do, so you learn to just laugh. At everything.
At the end of the day people need vulnerability as much as they need grace. So that’s what I’m here for. To be human. To be the mom that doesn’t write a blog to shame anyone, to sway your opinion, or to sell you anything but to just tell you my perspective about life.
Motherhood is messy. Life is unpredictable. Just like an emergency room…. So this is where it ends and really begins.
Stories straight from THE E.R.
Get it?
Okay y’all, for those who are looking to their left and right like what just happened. ER = my initials but it’s also a play on words as in ER, the emergency room. It’s okay if you don’t get it, we don’t judge here.

  1. I’ve been following you, random I know, for years even before you started Plexus (due to military hashtags, not in a creepy way i promise!) and I just wanted to say recently I had someone approach me for Plexus. Never in a million years would I even consider it if I haven’t been watching your journey through instagram for years. I’m giving her the time of day, so to speak, regarding Plexus because of you! SO thanks.

  2. Emily, I’m a PFF and have been following you for awhile. I love your honesty, vulnerability and just the way you keep it real! Your videos and blog is so inspiring that I always want more! God bless you for being obedient to God in starting to write. I can’t wait to see how he’s going to bless you through this ministry. Take your hat & shades off and flaunt your bod because you’re absolutely beautiful!
